Cotton Eyewear, A More Sustainable Future

The human race cannot continue to eat through unsustainable resources like it has before. Our growing population and decreasing oil reserves are putting the pressure on, and we need to shift into renewable thinking. Thankfully there are many companies who are already thinking forward, and producing everyday products crafted from sustainable materials.

WeWOOD eyewear has created an eco-friendly range of cotton sunglasses that uses cotton fiber as a plastic alternative. Organic cotton is a key material in sustainable fashion as it has many different uses, is fast and easy to grow, and is not a food source, so it doesn’t adversely affect the food chain demand unlike many other resources that claim to be sustainable. Cotton is also a strong material; products made from cotton tend to be durable, long lasting, quality products.

WeWOOD cotton eyewear is tough, high fashion, and environmentally conscious; the company even plants a tree for each of its products sold, putting more back into the earth than they are taking out of it.
Green fashion and biodegradable accessories are the way forward for any eco-savvy consumer, and WeWOOD’s commitment to producing 100% natural cotton sunglasses is just the beginning in a worldwide push for renewable production.
