5 Beard Oils For Your New Beard Journey

5 Beard Oils for Your New Beard Journey

In my 36 years of life this is my first real Beard Journey (i'm about 5 weeks of growth in) and things are coming along strong.  I'm not going to lie there were many failed attempts growing a beard, usually after 1.5-2 weeks of beard growth I would catch myself looking the mirror and the self-talk would kick in saying what are you doing?  Get that shit off your face you look like an idiot and sure enough, I would be back to clean as cue ball in no time.  I don't know about you but my biggest bully is myself and sometimes he can be real mean and I listen which is unfortunate.

But for some reason this beard journey has been different,  I haven't got in my head as much or perhaps another reason could be i'm doing some consulting in Ottawa and been living in an Airbnb pad where I don't know too many people in the city so I don't have to show my face except for work of course and who cares about how you look at work.  All I do is basically work, workout, eat and work and do it over again.  The hermit lifestyle, where I don't get out in front of people as much in social settings which is the hardest part as my beard looked like crap from the 2-4 weeks. This made is really easy to convince myself to shave it off when I had to make a public appearance throughout those weeks.

Like I said, this time has been different,  i'm about 5-weeks into the journey and this beard is starting to fill in and man is it itchy and dry.  I often hear about the benefits of beard oils and how they make your beard and underlying skin feel amazing.  But how do you know what's a good beard oil? What should I be looking for? Based on amazing ranking here are the top beard oils:

2. Honest Amish Beard Oil

Let’s face it, even with multiple choices out there, some telling you the ingredients and those that don’t probably not getting a second look from you. Most beard oils have the SAME 2 or 3 ingredients? Is it because these are the only ingredients that are good for your beard? Definitely not! Maybe it’s because certain oils are known by many to be good for the beard, maybe the makers themselves don’t know enough about the ingredients that are out there, maybe adding 2 or 3 ingredients is easiest, or maybe it’s because there’s a lot of people jumping on a trend and making products by just copying others? Either way, read our ingredient list, no beard oil out there will have all of them. Our premium blend has over 10 expertly selected premium oils that target hair growth, conditioning, beard and skin health, and are full of minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants to help nourish your beard and relieve any irritation of new growth. For us bearding is not a current trend, it’s a way of life.

3. Beardsmen Spirit Beard Oil

Premium Beardsmen Spirit Bold Forest Beard Oil is made from 100 percent natural, plant-based oils. These oils have been carefully formulated to provide the perfect balance of moisture without weighing down the beard or leaving a greasy residue or appearance. Bold Forest Beard Oil moisturizes both the individual hairs and the skin underneath the beard. It eliminates that annoying beard itch, eliminates flakes and tames beard frizz and flyaway hairs.

4. Smooth Viking Beard Oils

A dry beard can be as hard to conquer as the great Kraken. Fight back with Smooth Viking’s Beard Oil, which hydrates unruly tangles. Protect against dandruff and keep that beard under control with the aid of Avocado Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Moroccan Argan Oil, Olive Oil, Pumpkin Seed Oil, Castor Oil, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E and Pure Essential Oil. All you need to do is massage 3 drops of oil into your beard to begin the journey to a healthier and tame beard.

5. Mountaineer Brand Natural Beard Oil

Handmade in West Virginia with 100% natural oils and essential oils, this beard oil absorbs quickly and gives your beard a smooth, soft feel with a subtle shine. Great for taking care of that itchy, dry, flaky skin underneath. Rub 3-4 drops (more for a large beard) and massage into your dry beard then groom as usual. Use daily or anytime you want that fresh, clean beard feeling.

Being a newbie to the beard game, I can honestly say I don't have much experience with beard oils but I know what my nose likes and any type of oil is better than nothing to eliminate the skin underneath from flaking.  To those pro beard men who have years of experience maintaining your beard, please leave your comments below of your favourite bear oil and grooming products.
